Almost half way!

Today I start my 19th week being pregnant. Where has the time gone?

Baby K is now the size of a mango, but according to our ultrasound, Baby K is a bit larger. A mango is around 8.5 oz and our baby is 11oz. We'll see if our little peanut continues to be an early developer or is just a big baby.

My nieces and nephew weren't huge babies, but giant babies run on my side of the family. My cousin Michelle weighed in at 11 lb 3 oz. YIKES! I hope Uncle Norb pampered Aunt Marybeth for a long time after that birth...The majority of the other 13 cousins were over 9lbs at least including me who weighed in at 9lb 9oz. We'll worry about the birth weight later on...

Not only does today mark the 19th week of pregnancy, but it marks the first time I'm feeling good enough to hit the gym. Tony and I visited the DAHLC last night, and it felt great to do some lifting and a little cardio. I have so much more energy, even though I am having difficulty sleeping at night.

I've been keeping my blood pressure in check by being very aware of what I'm eating. Tony and I are using an iPhone app, Fitness Pal, to log our food and exercise. This is helping me to get the daily calorie amount I need to gain 1 lb per week from here on out. I believe Tony is using it for the opposite reasons...but it works for us!

Just thought I'd send an update out there. We're in for a busy weekend! I'm off to LAX tonight to have some much needed girl time, I take the other MTLE state test in the morning, Tony works, harvest dinner in PI and I'm speaking at all 3 church services this weekend about stewardship. It should be busy but fun!

Happy Friday!

Here's another pic of our beautiful baby. You can see the eyes (dark circles), mouth and brain. This shot told us our baby doesn't have a cleft lip.
