5 Weeks!

Yesterday Charlie was 5 weeks old!

Here are some changes we've seen in Charlie over his first 5 weeks with us:

  • smiling
  • making eye contact when we talk to him
  • moved up a size in diapers!
  • gained over 2 pounds!
  • tries to reach for toys

Here's a little collage showing how much our little man has grown in the 5 weeks we've known him!

Daddy's Day Off

 (Post 2 for today)

Tony is off work today. This gives him some much needed snuggle time with Charlie. I went upstairs to take a bath, and when I came down this is what I found:

TOYS!

Charlie has discovered something new this week: toys! After his shower on Saturday, he has so many new toys to play with. I decided to see if he would track some of them, and instead of just tracking, he smiled and cooed at them!

We brought them along to Willow Hill on Monday so Charlie could show his Grandma Cher and Grandpa Alan. This was the first time that Charlie had some alone time with G. Cher and G. Alan. We were there as well, but they didn't have to share holding him. He spent a lot of time snuggling with G. Cher while he snoozed away!

You can see a glimpse of Charlie's smile here.

Since my phone is always close at hand, I have A TON of Charlie pictures on there. Today my photo library was overloaded, so I thought I'd share some with you.

Shower time!

Post 4 for tonight. This is it, I promise!

On Saturday morning, my aunt Amy and aunt MB threw me a beautiful shower! They made my favorite egg bake, fruit salad, and YUMMY apple cake. A lot of my Smidt family and 2nd street family came and showered little Charlie with lots of love and gifts. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera....My mom captured 2 pictures on her phone, so that's all I have! Bummer...

Here is Great Great Aunt Kathy holding Charlie

This is my daycare mom, Lori. Not too many people still love their daycare mom as much as I do when they're 26 years old...I was so lucky!

The girls came!

(POST 3 for the day. Scroll down to see the rest!)

3 of my best college buds came to visit Charlie today and throw him a little onesie decorating party! We had a blast! They brought yummy snacks, fun gifts and creative decorating ideas.

Here are the girls busy working away.

While we were working, Charlie was napping. He wore his tie for the occasion.

Jenna got to meet him for the first time.

Kelly's first meeting.

All 3 girls and Charlie. He's one spoiled little boy!

One of Kelly's creations.

Jenna's creation. Zac Brown Band is kind of our thing.... (chicken fried...)

My creation.

Liv's creation. If you're a Harry Potter fan, you'll get this one.

We had such a great day visiting, snuggling Charlie and making fun onesies. I'm so blessed with such wonderful girls! (We missed you Becky!!)

How much wood

(POST 2 for today! Scroll down for first post!)

The past 2 days we've had another visitor at our bird feeder. This one is a cute cuddly one however: a woodchuck!

Luna was very interested in the little guy!

Here's a close up. If you see a wood chuck stuffed animal somewhere, purchase it, and I will reimburse you! Seriously, this is a cute little guy!
